How to Use a Sage Bundle

Prepare Your Space:

Open windows and doors to allow smoke and negative energy to leave the space.

Light the Sage Bundle:

Hold the bundle at a 45-degree angle and light the end. Let it burn for a few seconds, then gently blow out the flame, allowing the bundle to smolder and produce smoke.

Set Your Intention:

Focus on your intention for the cleansing. You can silently or verbally state your purpose, such as clearing negativity or inviting peace.

Begin the Cleansing:

Start at the entrance of the space, moving clockwise around the room. Use a feather or your hand to guide the smoke into corners, around doorways, and over any objects you want to cleanse.

Cleanse Yourself:

Pass the smoke over yourself from head to toe, visualising the release of any negative energy.

Extinguish Safely:

Once finished, gently press the lit end of the bundle into a fireproof dish, sand, or soil until the embers are out. Never use water to extinguish, as it can damage the bundle.

Store Properly:

Keep the sage bundle in a dry, cool place for future use.
