For me photography is about capturing a fleeting moment in time, a moment that can never be regained. Whether photographing the Earths landscape or the Human landscape, color or black and white, these moments can invoke so many emotions or memories (sight, sound or smell) for the viewer. That, I feel, is of chief importance in my work. To feel that you are actually present in one of my pieces, to actually feel the warmth of the setting sun, hear the crunch of brown fallen leaves under foot or to feel the texture of a brick surface-that is my goal.
I am a great admirier of many classic photographers, such as Steichen, Weston, Strand, Cunningham, and Horst. More recent photographers such as Patrick Demarchalier, Robert Farber and Herb Ritts are among my favorites as influences as well. Their ideas, their work has helped me see the world through different eyes. Everything can be beautiful if presented in a certain way. I hope you like my work.
